Dynamic load tests also known as PDA measurements are fast and reliable way to acquire information regarding piles geotechnical capacity and integrity. Based on PDA measurements a site-specific end of drive criteria can be determined for the equipment used to install piles.

The overall goal of conducting load tests on the Bridge is to : Quantify its response to various loading conditions. Measuring roadway-surface deflections due to various live loads. Deriving stresses from measured deflections via analytical models, and comparing analytical results with design standard.

The testing is required to determine the serviceability of the structure when the presence / effect of the strength deficiency and its remedial measures are not fully known or when the required dimensions and material properties for analysis are not available.
